My style is my personality
My style is centered around love. A love of movement, music, and human connection. I focus on full body control, resistance, and exploring new movement in my class to help create future storytellers. It is amazing how everyone can express dance differently, and I want to help push my students to find their own artistic voice.

Her parents always said she could dance before she could walk, and I believe it because she can dance better in heels than she can walk in them. Annie grew up in Georgia dancing and loving every style that came her way. She was a competitive dancer and trained in musical theater, modern, contemporary, jazz, and hip hop. Contemporary was an emerging style then, and she immediately fell in love with it. It combined so many styles together while being loosely centered around technique.
Annie went to college at the University of Colorado Boulder, CO and studied biology. While at school, she joined two professional dance companies. Annie trained with Jenny Schiff of the Schiff Dance Collective and Meghan Lawitz of Rogue Co. Through these companies her understanding of contemporary deepened, and her personal style quickly shaped.
After graduating from college, she moved to Bozeman, MT and took a hiatus from dance. While Annie was loving the big sky outdoors, her heart and soul needed to dance. She decided to pack up her car and drive the 18 hours to Los Angeles. Los Angeles was a complete whirlwind. She joined Go2Talent Agency very quickly after moving to L.A. and was sent to many auditions with hundreds of other dancers. She trained at the Edge PAC, Millennium Dance complex, and Movement Lifestyle. Annie fell in love with the amazing teachers there, but ultimately could not handle the high stress lifestyle of L.A. So she packed up her things again, hiked 200 miles of the John Muir Trail, and then moved to Denver, CO.
Annie has lived in Denver for almost three years now, and has been growing as a dancer and teacher more than ever. She fell into teaching after a friend asked her to cover her class, and it was the best fall she has ever had. She had always focused on performing, but teaching and choreographing became a new obsession. Annie has taught at numerous studies in the area including Streetside Dance Studios, Schiff Dance Collective, Belliston Academy of Ballet, Block 1750 and DanceSpace Performing Arts Academy. Annie currently teaches at Millennium Dance Complex. She still loves to perform, and she danced with the Schiff Dance Collective and Industrial Dance Alliance these past few years. Annie is currently dancing with Rogue Co. and they are preparing for their next show!
